Tammy Rider has been studying karate since she was 13 years old. She received her Black Belt when she was 18 years old then soon left to study at the University of Pittsburgh. While in Pittsburgh, she served as a research assistant at the McGowan Institute for Regenerative Medicine and participated in various charities. After being granted a B.S. in the Biological Sciences in 2002 she left for San Jose, CA where she was a student at Palmer College of Chiropractic. Motherhood soon followed with the birth of her daughter in 2004. She’s happy to rekindle her relationship with East Coast Karate and those that make it a family. The learning has come full circle with the recent entry of her daughter into the program. You can approach Miss Tammy with any questions, comments, or concerns with the dojo. As the Program Director, she is excited to acclimate all of you into the East Coast family!
